The World I Want to Live In
The world that I want to live in is a place with peace,
hope and equality. People have the right to pursue their dreams without inequality,
limitation, and fear. In my ideal world, countries around the world coexist in
harmony and peacefully, no longer wage wars for any reason. On the contrary,
all parts of the world work together to create a more comfortable environment
where people live. Besides that, people become more tolerant, considerate, and
caring. The prejudices and stereotypes in society are greatly reduced due to
people's efforts. People will not have more conflicts and be judged due to skin
colour, religion, gender, and occupation
I believe that the world is one where people will not be
treated unequally or unfairly. The characteristics of a peaceful world should
be based on mutual respect for different cultures and beliefs because everyone
should be treated as an equal individual. To achieve this kind of society, it
requires not only mutual respect but also an inclusive attitude and mindset to
accept the differences between people. At the same time, fairness is also a fundamental
value, which can ensure people have relatively equal rights and choices when
facing opportunities.
Therefore, in order to reach this consensus, I believe that reforming and improving education and the country's legal system is the first step towards an ideal world. For example, the government should not only focus on improving the
quality of students' education but also on developing students' character and
values through education because students with a certain level of education
understand the importance of good values. For example, the curriculum should
pay more attention to the topic of multiculturalism, because this can directly
help students to understand people from different cultural backgrounds more
intuitively and cultivate students' values of mutual respect and tolerance
In addition, the government should reform and improve the
country's legal system to ensure that the law can protect people's basic rights
when facing inequality or injustice. For example, our country should strengthen
anti-discrimination laws to clearly prohibit all discrimination based on
gender, race, religion, disability and more. Secondly, I think the government
should increase laws on children's rights because children are the future of a
nation. Therefore, the country should ensure that every child has the same
right to education and medical care and is not deprived of basic rights due to
family background or regional differences. No child should be denied basic
rights because of circumstances beyond their control.
In my ideal world, equality is no longer just a concept in
school textbooks, nor is it just a value and idea taught by teachers. It is a
daily phenomenon that everyone consciously practises. These values are as
natural as a normal person eating and drinking water every day, which is a
consensus for integration into society.
In this realistic society, people often deny the efforts of
the "99%" because of the unequal treatment of the "1%". For
example, the Malaysian Matriculation Programme is full of inequality.
Bumiputeras have great advantages, for instance, the number of places, lower
admission standards, and more. However, non-Bumiputeras face unequal treaties,
such as high admission standards and fewer places. Therefore, these "legal
inequalities" in the system have caused many people who want to change
their destiny through hard work or study and get a better result to be defeated
by the rules of reality.
Therefore, in my ideal world, everyone has a fair chance to
fight for the results they want. As long as they are willing to work hard, they
can realise their dreams. Even if they fail, people will not be disappointed
but will continue to motivate with hope. Because this ideal world is built on
absolute equality, which is not the result of prejudice or unfairness. This is
the meaning of equality. It encourages people to persist and believe that hard
work will bring a good result.
The picture at the top can be seen as a visual extension of my article. It combines several key elements, such as education, law, fairness, respect, multiculturalism, peace, and hope, and together builds a truly ideal society. In the picture, the characters of different ethnic groups reflect the diverse culture of Malaysia, showing respect and tolerance to each other. In addition, the white doves and olive branches in the picture represent world peace and hope. It matches with my vision and belief in my ideal world.
In conclusion, I know that it is impossible to achieve this
ideal world immediately. People will use their advantages, such as wealth,
social status, and connections, to fight for more resources and opportunities.
But I still hope that the peaceful, inclusive, and fair world that I describe
can achieve relative fairness. This is a goal that can be achieved through the
efforts of all people. It is not easy to realise this ideal world. There are
still various challenges, such as social prejudice, imperfect systems, and
other practical problems. These practical obstacles extend the distance from
the ideal world. But I believe that through people's mutual trust and hard
work, this ideal world will slowly become a reality.
